A dangerous ballot initiative will be voted on by Californians on November 5th.
Proposition 36 makes California less safe by taking away $750 million over the next decade from programs that prevent crime. These proven solutions and treatment programs that support folks with drug addictions, address theft at a root level, and support folks without housing are at risk. We need to be investing in solutions, but Prop 36 will only exasperate California’s social problems.
