Endorsements
Ella Baker Center Action Fund aims to hold those in power accountable to our communities. We work to build people power and disrupt institutions that have historically harmed Black, Brown, low and no income people. With this in mind, we take the decision to endorse as a serious responsibility and will continue to impact elections even in instances where we do not endorse a specific candidate.
We are excited to announce our 2024 endorsements!

About our endorsement process: The Ella Baker Center Action Fund’s Political Organizing Committee leads the endorsement process of the Ella Baker Center Action Fund. This is a member-led committee, which is made up of individuals who have personal experience with incarceration, are currently incarcerated, or have been impacted by police violence. The committee plays a crucial role in vetting all candidates and conducting candidate interviews. Through careful deliberation, the committee votes on the recommendation to endorse a candidate for the EBC Action Fund. This recommendation is then approved by the EBC Action Fund Leadership Team, staff, and board. Our commitment lies in creating leadership opportunities & building political power for those impacted by the carceral system.
