Endorsements
Ella Baker Center Action Fund aims to hold those in power accountable to our communities. We work to build people power and disrupt institutions that have historically harmed Black, Brown, low and no income people. With this in mind, we take the decision to endorse as a serious responsibility and will continue to impact elections even in instances where we do not endorse a specific candidate.
We are excited to announce our 2024 endorsements!
Jackie Elward is a Black migrant woman with a strong history of supporting vulnerable and marginalized communities. Her priorities include housing, mental health, and public safety. She knows that true public safety happens when we invest in the community. We are confident that Jackie Elward has the experience, knowledge, and passion to make a positive impact.
She would represent Assembly District 12 which includes Marin County and parts of Sonoma County. Jackie Eldward is the current Vice Mayor and former Mayor of Rohnert Park. She is the first Black woman to be elected to the City Council.
We endorsed Jackie for her primary in June of 2026 and are ecstatic that she is now one of the candidates running in the General Election happening November 3rd. We are doubling down on our support for Jackie and we ask you to join us and do the same. You can find her website here for more on her policy platforms and to give.
